A wattmeter is an electrical test instrument that is used to measure in watts the electric power (or the rate of electrical energy) of a given circuit. Every electrical and environmental test equipment will lose its accuracy and precision due to exposure to temperature, humidity, pressure and inappropriate human handling. It is advisable to re-calibrate wattmeter by ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, like AMECaL, every 6 – 12 months to ensure its proper working order.
